Abstract

This study aims to examine the cases of the conversion of under-used Community Administration Centers(CAC) in Seoul, Korea. Recently, Seoul Metropolitan Government and its subordinate districts attempt to convert their CACs into community facilities for child care, seniors medical support, and other purposes. In this study, this conversion projects are investigated from the perspective of urban regeneration. We chose four CACs in Mapo-gu as in-depth case study in order to survey the potentials of them.
