Abstract

As part of taxonomic studies on Korean Chironomidae, the adult midges collected at Kwangnung forest and some preserved specimens of the previous collections were slide-mounted for permanent preparation and identified. Two species, Paratendipes albimanus and Chironomus yoshimatsui are the first findings in Korea and one species, named Rheotanytarsus kwangnungensis n.sp. is found to be new. As a result, the Korean fauna of Chironomidae consists of 39 species, 23 genera.

1988년에 경기도 양주군 광능을 비롯한 수개 지역에서 채집한 깔따구 성충과 전년에 채집 보관중인 표본 일부를 동정한 결과, Paratendipes albinanus(흰다리사촌깔따구, 신칭)와 Chironomus yoshimatsui(요시마쯔깔따구, 신칭) 2종의 한국 미기록 종과 Rheotanytarsus kwangnungensis n. sp. (광능유장부깔따구)라 명명한 1신종을 확인하였다. 이로써 한국산 깔따구류는 모두 23속 39종이 된다.
