Abstract

This paper considers the nature of a digital library in terms of definitions and its technical environment It also explores some of the problems and issues involved in demanding and supplying information So current publishing systems and the library resources were investigated. The relative advantages of both electronic and paper journals are also briefly considered and it is suggested that research relating to build the full text database is required. Finally it considers the innovative management technology such as TQM, Business Process Reengineering to innovative library itself.

디지털도서관의 도입은 앞으로 정보의 창출 및 확산, 이응과 관련된 사람들에게 지대한 영향을 미치게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구자서는 디지털도서관의 특성과 함께 디지털도서관 환경 하에서의 정보의 공급과 수요의 변화요인 등을 분석하였다. 즉 지식의 증가와 출판시스템을 살펴보았고, 공급과 수요 측면의 불균형의 요인이 되고 있는 도서관의 재정자원, 그리고 이를 위한 비용분석 방법론을 제시하였다. 또한 전자출판과 데이터베이스의 유형을 비교하고, 마지막으로 혁신적인 경영기법인 TQM과 리엔지니어링을 통해 도서관 조직의 혁신의 필요성을 논하였다.
