Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze a path model that investigated the relations among leisure participation, leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction of the elderly. For the purpose conceptual framework based on previous studies was suggested. The sample in this study consisted of 489 elderly living in Seoul. Daejeon Jeonju and daegu. Statistics employed for the analysis were frequencies means one way anova multiple regression and path analysis. The results showed some evidence that supported the conceptual framework. In path model elderly's health status total asset family relationship self-esteem locus of control leisure participation and leisure satisfaction had direct effects on the life satisfaction. Also total asset, self-esteem and leisure participation had indirect effects through leisure satisfaction.
