Abstract

It is desirable to qualify the Information Management System for Elementary and Secondary Schools for an information system of nation-wide Human Resource Development, not just for the one that supports student-related tasks. From this point of view, we propose an approach to improve the system aiming at: (1) system effectiveness - applying the development methodology of strategic information systems to identify core business processes of schools, and then we consider whether the system functions support the processes (2) school assessment readiness - we examine preparation for school assessment with the system functions, and introduce new ones that are necessary to support the assessment.

본 논문에서는 교육인적자원부주관하에 전국적으로 보급 중인 기존의 초ㆍ중등학교 종합정보관리시스템의 역할을 단순한 학사업무지원시스템이 아니라, 그 위상을 국가적인 인적자원관리시스템으로 재설정 하는 것이 바람직하다고 보았다. 이러한 견지에서 종합정보관리시스템을 다음 두 가지 각도에서 검토하여 그 개선방안을 제시하였다: (1) 시스템의 효과성 - 전략적 정보시스템의 구축 방법론에 입각하여, 학교의 핵심 업무프로세스를 도출하고, 이를 시스템 기능이 충실히 지원하는지를 검증한다. (2) 학교평가지원 - 시스템의 기능을 활용하여 학교평가를 효과적으로 대비할 수 있는지를 검토하고, 평가를 지원하기 위해서 반드시 갖추어야하는 시스템의 추가기능을 제시한다.
