Abstract
Background ; The purpose of this study was to examine bone mineral density in postpartum general aching patients.Methods : In our study, 18 postpartum general aching patients, women aged 26-39 years were examined. Posteroanterior Lumbar spine(L1-L4), lateral Lumbar spine(L2-L4), femoral neck, and ward`s triangle measurements were obtained on dual energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA)Results :1. The prevalence of osteopenia was 55.6% in postpartum general aching patients.2. BMD in femoral neck were significantly decreased in postpartum general aching patients.3. BMD in Lumbar spine and femur in 1 time delivery group were significantly decreased in comparison with 2 or 3 times delivery group.Conclusion : This study showed that BMD in postpartum general aching patients were decreased.
