A Study on the Factors related with the Occurrence of Postpartal Symptoms

Abstract
Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the proper time of postpartum herb medication and the factor related with postpartum syndrome. Method : We called to 100 women who delivered in Kang nam Cha-Hospital from Jan. 2002 to April 2002. 78 of 100 took herb medicine and the others didn't take it. Age, occupation, parturity, the date of delivery, the way of delivery, the experience of artificial reproductive treatment and the change of body weight in pregnancy were retrospectively conducted and we called and asked the patients of some questions. Results and conclusions : 1. The occurrence rate of postpartal arthritic symptoms were lowest in the group taken herb medicine just after delivery. 2. The more the gain of body weight in pregnancy, the higer the ouucrrence rate of postpartal symptoms. 3. The older the mother was, the higer the ouucrrence rate of postpartal symptoms. 4. In the cases who consciously perspired, the higer the ouucrrence rate of poslpartal symptoms. 5. In the group treated artificial reproductive treatment, the higer the ouucrrence rate of postpartal symptoms.
