Abstract

We developed a phase-noise measurement system in which a stable crystal oscillator was used as the reference oscillator. The phase noises of 10-MHz signals from a H-maser, Cs atomic clocks, and frequency synthesizers were measured. Using the measured phase power spectral density, we calculated the frequency stability of the oscillators and analyzed the noise components included in the signals. As a result, the H-maser showed the best performance among the oscillators, having a phase power spectral density of-145 dBc/Hz for a Fourier frequency of about 600 Hz

단기 안정도가 좋은 수정 발진기를 기준 발진기로 사용한 위상잡음 측정 시스템을 구성하였다. 이 측정시스템으로 수소메이저, 세슘원자시계. 주파수 합성기에서 나오는 10 MHz 신호의 위상잡음을 측정하였고, 주파수 안정도로 환산하여 발진기에 포함된 잡음 성분을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 수소메이저의 위상잡읍이 가장 작았으며, 푸리에 주파수 600Hz 이상에서 -145 dBc/Hz를 나타내었다.
