Abstract

Considering that engineering characteristics fur partially saturated soil is affected by matric suction, many researchers have concentrate their effort on developing methods to predict parameters used to model for soilwater characteristic. To analyze the behaviour of partially saturated soils, determination of suitable SWCC for the soils is very significant. In this research, specimen of decomposed granular soil in chungcheong area, organic soil, and reclamation soil in the western sea were selected, and soil-water characteristic testing was performed. In this research, adding pressure method using Pressure Plate Extractor was used in the experiments. The coefficients fer describing soil-water characteristic curve were determined by using estimated equations suggested by Brooks & Corey and Van Genuchten, and then SWCC was induced.

부분포화 영역에서 많은 연구자들은 부분포화토의 공학적 특성이 모관 흡수력에 영향을 받는 것에 착안하여 함수특성을 위한 모델에 사용하는 계수들을 예측하는 방법에 많은 노력을 기울여 왔다. 이러한 부분포화토의 거동을 해석하는데는 토질별로 적합한 함수특성의 결정이 매우 중요하다고 하겠다. 따라서, 국내 토질별 함수특성곡선에 대한 자료가 부족한 것을 감안하여 충청지역에 많이 분포하고 있는 화강풍화토와 유기질토 및 서해안지역에 분포하는 준설토를 대상시료로 선정하여 함수특성실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 함수특성곡선의 실험적 측정방법은 가압방식인 압력판 추출시험기(pressure plate extractor)를 사용하였고, Brooks & Corey와 Van Genuchten이 제안한 추정식을 이용하여 부분포화토 함수특성 계수를 결정하고 함수특성곡선을 유도하였다.
