Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze major muscle type on recruitment to athletes and non-athletes in crouching start movement and in crouching start section(set-go-one step)using wireless electromyogram machine. 18 highschool students(male) were participated in the exercise test. The subject were divided into two groups ; athletes(N=8) and non-athletes(N=8). Electromyogram test was analyzed muscle type on recruitment in crouching start movement by surface electrode. Major muscle was treasured by Integrated EMG in pre-test. The result of this study as follows: 1. Athletes group in start section among crouching start movement significantly recruited more major muscles than non-athletes group. Especially, in case of right gastrocnemius, its IEMG is significantly less than any other muscles ; athletes(IEMG=129.99±39.79%) and non-athletes(IEMG=46.02±129.99%). In this fact, we recognize non-athletes can`t push right-starting block correctly during crouching start movement. From now on, domestic athletes couches and physical educator will teach correct crouching start methods and improve training methods about crouching start. 2. Non-athletes group in set section among crouching start movement significantly recruited more major muscles than athletes group. In this result, we notice that athletes` center of gravity(CG) located between upper body and ground whereas non-athletes CG located between hip and ankle. The fact that CG located between upper body and ground was meaning this crouching methods was good at starting movement. 3. Athletes group in one-step section among crouching start movement significantly recruited more major muscles than non-athletes group. The primary factors of this result were related to angle of arm shaking and theigh of pitch.
