Effect of Phosphorus Fertilization on Changes in Concentrations of Nutrients in Rice-hull Based Root Media, Crop Growth, and Nutrient Contents of Chrysanthemum

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the effect of fused phosphate (FP) and fused superphosphate (FSP) on changes in medium pH and concentrations of nutrients in composted rice-hull (CRH)+perlite (75:25, v/v) medium. Crop growth and nutrient uptake of Dendranthema grandiflorum ‘Monlo’ were also determined. Elevated application levels of FP or FSP resulted in increased crop growth. The treatments of 6.0g·L-1 of FP or FSP showed high crop growth in CRH-containing media. Elevated incorporation rates of FP resulted in increased content of $P_{2}O_{5}$, K, and Mg in the tissues, and FSP resulted in increased content of Ca, Mg, Fe, and Mn in the tissues. Contents of $P_{2}O_{5}$ in the tissue with the treatments of FSP were 1.5 times as high as those in equivalent rate of FP. The controls treatment with no phosphorus fertilization in CRH containing media had pH value of 6.61 in soil solution and 0.57 dS·m-1 of electrical conductivity. Elevated application rates of FP resulted in increased $P_{2}O_{5}$, K, and Mg concentrations in soil solution. As application rate of FSP increased, pH in soil solution decreased. The treatments of FSP had higher $P_{2}O_{5}$ and K and lower Mg concentrations in soil solution than those of FP.

부숙왕겨+펄라이트를 75:25(v/v)로 혼합한 상토에 국내산 용성인비 또는 용과린을 0, 2, 4 및 6g·L-1의 비율로 시비량을 달리한 경우 국화의 생육에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 용성인비나 용과린의 시비량을 증가시킬 수록 생육이 증가하였고 각각 6.0g·L-1 처리에서 생육이 가장 우수하였다. 용성인비를 시비한 경우 식물체의 P2O5, K 및 Mg 함량이 증가하였고, 용과린이 시비된 처리에서는 Ca, Mg, Fe 및 Mn 함량이 증가하였다. 무처리구의 pH가 6.61였고 전기전도도가 0.57dS·m-1 였으나, 용성인비의 시비량을 증가시킬 경우 pH 및 상토의 P2O5, Ca 및 Mg 농도가 증가였다. 용과린의 시비량이 증가할 경우 pH는 저하되었으며 동일한 비율로 용성인비를 시비한 처리들보다 P2O5 및 Ca 농도는 높게 분석되었으나 Mg은 낮게 분석되었다.
