Effects of Tree-spray of Liquid Calcium Compounds on the Mineral Nutrients, Blossom-end Browning and Quality of Non-astringent Persimmon Fruits

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect spraying liquid calcium compound extracted from oyster shell and $CaCO_3$ directly to ‘Fuyu’ persimmon trees during growing season on mineral nutrients, blossom-end browning and fruit quality of non-astringent persimmon fruits. The calcium contents of leaf, fruit peel and flesh were increased by spraying liquid calcium compound. Also, occurrence of blossom-end browning fruit was significantly reduced, but $CaCO_3$ spraying had no effect. The calcium contents in peel and flesh of blossom-end browning fruit were lower than those of normal fruit, but the potassium content in peel was higher than that of normal fruit. The concentrations of T-N, P, and Mg in peel and flesh showed no significant difference. Soluble solids, fruit weight and Hunter value L and b showed no difference between calcium-treated and non-treated. 본 연구는 부유 품종에서 생육기간 동안 굴껍질로 제조된 액상칼슘화합물을 수관살포하여 과실의 무기성분, 과정부 갈변 현상 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하고저 실시하였다. 수확전 굴껍질로부터 추출한 액상칼슘화합물 수관살포는 잎, 과피, 과육조직의 칼슘농도를 증가시켜 수확시 과정부 갈변현상을 줄일 수 있었다. 그러나, 탄산칼슘은 효과가 없었다. 과정부 갈변과는 과피 및 과육조직의 Ca 함량이 현저히 낮았고, T-N, P, K, Mg의 함량 차이는 없었으나, 과피의 K 함량은 높았다. 따라서 액상칼슘화합물을 살포하였을 때 과실의 품질은 무처리과에 비하여 칼슘함량, 과실 경도 및 Hunter a값이 현저히 증가하였으나, 과중, 가용성고형물 함량, Hunter L과 b값의 차이는 없었다.
