Abstract

Oh, S.D. The effect of Intensity Exercise on the changes T-cell and Cytokines following Submaximal Exercise. Exercise Science, 12(4): 693-702, 2003 The purpose of this study was to investigate The effect of Intensity Exercise on the changes T-cell and cytokines following submaximal exercise. All subjects were 11 males students on HY university. The exercise condition divided into three groups; High(VO2max 85-90%), Moderate(VO2max 65-70%), Low (VO2max 40-45%) intensive exercise groups. Blood samples were taken from antecubital vein in pre-exercise, post-60min exercise, and post-120min exercise. All data was analyzed by MANOVA of SPSS. The result of study can be summarized as follows: The change of NK-cell and IL-2 concentration were showed significantly differences according to intensity of exercise. The change of CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8, and INF-γ concentration were showed no significantly differences according to intensity of exercise. In conclusion, the changes of NK-cell and IL-2 concentration caused by intensity of exercise showed a tendency to decrease occurred after exercise 60, 120min recovery. Also, this results suggested that changes of T-cell and cytokines following submaximal exercise appears to be related to exercise volume than intensity.
