Abstract
This study was carried out to estimate aboveground biomass and net primary production(NPP) in an average 42-years-old Quercus mongolica stand in Kwangyang area, 52-years-old Quercus mongolica stand in Pyungchang area, and 36-years-old Quercus mongolica stand in Youngdong area. Nine sample trees were cut in each stands and soil samples were collected in July to August, 2002. Estimation for aboveground biomass and net primary production were made by the equation model $Wt=aD^b$ where Wt is oven dry weight in kg and D is DBH in cm. Total aboveground biomass was 62.35ton/ha in Kwangyang area, 156.0ton/ha in Pyungchang area, and 110.3ton/ha in Youngdong area. The proportion of each tree component to total aboveground biomass was high in order of bolewood, branches, bolebark and leaves in the three forests. Aboveground total net primary production was estimated at 5.79ton/ha in Kwangyang area, 10.31ton/ha in Pyungchang area, and 11.36ton/ha in Youngdong area.
전라남도 광양, 강원도 평창, 충청북도 영동 지역에서 생육하는 평균수령 42년, 52년, 36년생 신갈나무 천연림의 지상부 현존생물량 및 연순생산량을 추정하기 위해 2002년 7-8월에 각 지역별 9주씩 총 27본의 표본목을 선정 벌목하였다. 수식 $Wt=aD^b$를 사용하여 추정한 지상부 총 현존생물량은 광양 지역에서 62.35ton/ha, 평창지역에서 156.0ton/ha, 그리고 영동지역에서 110.3ton/ha으로 나타났다. 부위별 구성비는 모든 조사지역에서 수간목부, 생지부, 수피, 일의 순으로 높았다. 총 연순생산량은 광양지역 5.79ton/ha, 평창지역 10.31ton/ha, 그리괴 영동지역 11.36ton/ha으로 나타났나.
