Abstract

Web services technology is beginning to emerge as a do facto standard for integrating disparate applications and systems using open, XML-based standards. In addition to building web services for the system integration there also exist various researches and developments for the purpose of its adoption into enterprise environment. The purpose of this paper is to provide a review of these emerging standards to help the reader better understand how web services can be accomplished today and how web services will be evolved In this paper we introduce the standard activities of the Web services technology and the vision of Semantic Web Services, the final end of these technologies.

최근 웹 서비스 기술은 공개된 XML 기반 표준들을 이용하여 서로 다른 시스템이나 응용들을 통합하기 위한 사실상의 표준으로 이용되고 있으며, 또한 엔터프라이즈 환경에서의 이용을 위해 필요한 추가 기술 요소에 대한 많은 표준화 활동 및 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 최근의 웹 서비스 관련 기술들에 대한 표준화 동향에 대해 설명하며, 현재의 웹서비스가 해결해야 할 문제점과 요구 사항들을 통하여 웹 서비스의 향후 발전 방향에 대해 논의토록 한다.
