Effect of Intra-Articular Bee Venom Injection on Acute Arthritis of Knee Joint : A Case Report

Abstract

Objective : We got a good effect one patient not by operation, antibiotics but by intra-articular bee venom injection tretments at septic arthritis of knee and osteoarthritis. Methods : We used intra-articular bee venom injection, herbal mediacation. Results : Most symptom of knee joint(Rt. knee pain, swelling, heating) were decreased and ROM(range of motion) of knee joint flexion was incresed(from) extention was increased from $50^{\circ}$ to $10^{\circ}$ in 1st case). Conclusions : We treated a 31-year-old man had persistent pain and dysfunction after articular aspiration and antibiotics therapy, and a 60-years-old woman who had pain and sweeling and was diagnosed synovitis with septic arthritis of knee, their condition was quickly improved through intra-articular bee venom injection tretments. we are reprting this case.
