Change of Surface-Electromyography on Temporomandibular Disorders Pateients to Treated by Rainbow Therapy

측두하악장애에 대한 레인보우 요법 시술전후의 표면근전도 변화 연구

Abstract

Objectives : Rainbow therapy is new treatment on temporomandibular disorders. But the effect of rainbow therapy on temporomandibular disorders wasn't yet estimated. Therefore, this study was designed to estimate the effect of rainbow therapy on temporomandibular disorders. Methods : This study carried out on 11 temporomandibular disorders patients that was treated by rainbow therapy. We investigated chang of surface-electromyography and questionaries that was made by author. Result and conclusions : After rainbow therapy, we obtained the following results : 1. There was high rate improvement on patient complaint and referred pain. 2. Maximum month opening increased by mean $5.0{\pm}2.0mm$. 3. Asymmetry ratio of muscle contraction time and power on anterior temporal muscle were significantly decreased.
