초록
본 논문은 아스팔트 혼합물의 소성변형 저항성과의 상관성이 높은 특성치를 찾고자 Kim test를 개발하여 현재 적용성 연구결과를 다루고 있다. 슬래브($305mm{\times}305mm{\times}62mm$)공시체를 제조하여 한쪽은 Kim test를 수행하기 위하여 18cm정도로 잘라서 코어를 3개를 채취하고 다른 쪽은 12cm크기로 하여 반복주행시험을 실시하였다 Kim test는 하중봉 4(1.0)을 사용하였다. 한가지 골재와 8가지 아스팔트 혼합물에 대하여 실험온도를 $55^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;65^{\circ}C$로 변화시켜 변형강도와 소성변형과의 상관성을 분석한 결과 3가지 온도 모두에서 $R^2=0.9$정도의 높은 상관성을 보여주었다. 특히 $60^{\circ}C$에서 $R^2=0.94$이상 나와 가장 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 또한, 배합설계시 $K_D$를 사용할 수 있을 지에 대해 검토한 결과 그 가능성을 확인하였다.
This study dealt with correlation analysis between deformation strength $K_D$ and rut parameters of asphalt concretes by temperature change. $K_D$ is under development by Kim for finding rut resistance of asphalt mixtures using static load testing. One aggregate, gneiss with maximum size of 13mm and eight binders using five polymers (LDPE, SBS, SBR, WLDPE, WHDPE) were used to produce 8 mixtures which show different rut resistance under the same loading condition. A slab ($305mm{\times}305mm{\times}62mm$) was cut into two pieces (18cm and 12cm) and 3 cores for Kim test were taken from the larger piece and wheel tracking test was performed from the other piece. $K_D$ test was conducted at $55^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;and\;65^{\circ}C$ using 4 (1.0) loading head. Two rut parameters, depth of rut and dynamic stability from the rut depth-cycle curve from a WT test were obtained for each mixture. Statistical analyses were performed to evaluate correlation between deformation strength and rut parameters of asphalt concretes with temperature change ($55^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;65^{\circ}C$). The result showed that $K_D$ had very high coefficient of determination ($R^2>0.9$) on the average at $55^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;65^{\circ}C$. Especially, the best correlation was obtained at $60^{\circ}C\;R^2=0.94$. This study also found possibility of using $K_D$ as a criteria in mix design of asphalt mixtures.
