Abstract

Meter reading system, operated by meter staff who reads the meter and record consumption with handhold data terminals. can cause privacy intrusion, unread meter data, abnormal readings and excessive expenses of maintaining the system. To prevent the deterioration of customer service quality, Automatic Meter Reading system, which automatically recognizes meter readings and transmit reading data through wireless RF module, is designed. From collecting the reading data to managing statistics of customer's consumption information. this automatic meter reading system provides more accurate and fast information to customers. 검침원이 방문을 통하여 계량기 지침을 읽고, 핸디 터미널을 이용하여 지침값을 입력하는 검침업무 시스템은 사생활 침해, 미검침 처리 및 오검침, 과다한 검침 비용 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이런 고객서비스질의 저하를 막기 위하여 계량기의 지침을 자동으로 인식하고, RF 모듈를 이용하여 무선으로 검침데이터를 전송할 수 있는 원격검침 시스템을 설계하였다. 검침 데이터의 원시 자료 수집부터 수용가의 사용량 정보에 대한 통계정보 관리에 이르기까지의 전체적인 시스템을 설계함으로써 고객에게 보다 정확하고 구체적인 사용 정보를 제공하여 서비스의 만족도와 신뢰도를 향상 시킬 수 있으리라 사료된다.
