Abstract
This study is to improve the accuracy of the Three-dimensional digital map produced using LiDAR data. For the purpose, we derived the problems come from when we produce digital map, and suggested the methods to solve it by analyzing the accuracy of the three-dimensional digital map produced from the LiDAR data. We Compared the buildings and roads on the three-dimensional digital map from the LiDAR data to the existing 1:1,000 digital topographic map. In comparison to the existing digital topographic map, quite differences are appeared on the numbers and areas of the buildings and the length and areas of the roads. The result of the analyzed positional accuracy by GPS surveying is showed too that it is deviated from the accuracy criteria. In case of contour, it was proved more accurate than existing digital topographic map. It is unavailable to make the substantial layer of the boundary on river except for the current flowing area. It is due to the characteristics of the LiDAR data. We produced digital ortho image using digital aeriel photo image acquired with the LiDAR data and performed the experiment to make digital map utilizing the digital ortho image subsidiarily. After the experiment, the problem that buildings and roads are not formed completely in mapping is solved and the positional accuracy is could be raised. And we could have produced the three dimensional layer of the boundary on river, that couldn't be done with only LiDAR data.
