Abstract

In this research, the bond performance of steel and synthetic fiber in high strength cement based composites including bond strength, pullout energy, etc., are presented. Pullout test were conducted to evaluate the bond performance of steel and synthetic fiber in high strength cement based composites in accordance with the JCI(Japan Concrete Institute) SF-8. Experimental test result showed that the pullout load vs slip behavior of crimped type synthetic fiber has large pullout load and slip compared to steel fiber in high strength cement based composites. For the microscopic investigation of fiber surface after pullout test, there showed a scratches on the surface increased as the increase of compressive strength.
