Abstract
This study examines the factors impacting parenting-related stress levels using data from 69 individual Vietnamese women who married a Korean man and currently live in Korea. Applying hierarchical regression analyses, a set of three hypotheses was tested to examine whether parenting stress of Vietnamese immigrant women in Korea can be explained, based on child related factor, mother related factor, and stress coping related factor. Among the seven variables selected for the regression model, only three variables were statistically significant in explaining the parenting stress. The three variables arc satisfaction in marriage, age of the youngest child, and passive stress copying strategy. Passive stress copying strategy was found to be the strongest predictor variable in explaining parenting stress of Vietnamese immigrant women in Korea.
