Abstract

Objectives：This study was conducted to develop the screening questionnaire (Adolescent Mental Health and Problem Behavior Questionnaire, AMPQ) for detecting mental health problems and various problem behaviors in adolescents. Methods：First, six main domains of questionnaire were defined and preliminary sub-items were collected through literature study, consultation data from field mental health experts, and preliminary survey study. Next, with these 52 preliminary items,we conducted nationwide survey on 1,267 middle and high school students of five districts of Korea. Results：Through reliability test and factor analysis 34 items were finally filtered out. The Cronbach’s alpha of these 34 items was .88. And correlation with K-YSR and K-CBCL were .34 (p<.01) and .68 (p<.01). Conclusion：AMPQ, which is comprised of relatively short list of items and at the same time covers overall mental health and problem behaviors in adolescents can be used by non-professionals as a screening questionnaire in school settings or mental health centers. 청소년에서 정신건강 및 문제행동의 조기발견과 개입은 예방과 치료 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 이런 중요성에도 불구하고 일선 학교나 상담소, 정신보건센터 등에서 이들을 선별할 수 있는 간편한 선별검사도구가 적절하지 않았다. 이런 점으로 해서 문헌조사와 조사연구의 두 단계로 하여 여섯 범주 52문항의 예비문항을 선정하였고, 이 예비 설문지를 전국에 있는 중·고등학교에 재학 중인 중학교 1학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 총 2,100명의 학생 및 학부모를 대상으로 실시하였다. 이 예비설문지와 함께 학생에게는 K-YSR, 부모에게는 K-CBCL을 실시하여 최종적으로 1,267명의 자료를 분석하였다. 설문지의 분석에는 요인분석을 이용하여 총 8개 요인으로 구분하였고, 분석결과 18개 문항을 제거하고 총 34 문항을 최종 선정하였다. 최종 선정된 34문항의 Cronbach alpha는 .88이었고, 검사-재검사신뢰도는 총점 간 .47, 내재화 .47, 외재화 .59였다. K-YSR 및 K-CBCL과의 공존타당도는 각각 .680, .349로 나타났다. 그리고 선별검사로서의 활용을 위해 T점수를 평균으로부터 1.5 표준편차를 벗어난 점수를 절단점으로 하였는데, 성별 간 차이는 없었다. 연령별 차이가 있어 중학생은 총점 65점, 고등학생은 총점 72점으로 절단점을 설정하였다. 청소년 정신건강 및 문제행동 선별검사는 5점 척도, 34 문항의 청소년 자기기입식 설문지로 정신건강 관련 문항뿐 아니라 성, 비행, 가족관계, 학업 등 광범위한 영역에 상당히 높은 민감도와 신뢰도를 갖는다. 정신장애에 대한 조기발견과 개입에서 중요한 역할을 담당하는 학교, 상담소, 정신보건센터 등 청소년 관련 현장에서 이들의 정신건강 및 문제행동의 일차 선별도구로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
