Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate association between HRR and serum lipids, low exercise capacity in metabolic syndrome patients. All subjects(N=71) devide to Control(52.85±.45yrs) and Metabolic Syndrome(52.49±5.71yrs), Compared to HRR and Thought regression analysis observed to association of metabolic syndrome with poor heart rate recovery and low exercise capacity, metabolic risk factors. we used to bruce protocol with submax treadmill exercise test and heart rate recovery 1min(HRR1min) was calculated as peak heart rate during exercise minus heart rate 1 minute into recovery. In conclusion, Control compared to Metabolic syndrome were showed significantly higher BMI, % body fat, fasting glucose, TG, Rest and Peak BP, Rest and Peak RPP and significantly lowerO2peak, HRR1min, Exercise time. also, Poor HRR1min correlated to TG(r=-.447, p=.002), HRrest(r=-.473, p=.001), DBPpeak(r=-.501, p=008), O2peak, (r=.409, p=.008). Metabolic syndrome is associated with autonomic dysfunction and Poor heart rate recovery may have prognostic factor in prediction of vascular events in patients with metabolic syndrome.
