Abstract
Recently we have been much interested in e-learning because of learning materials digitalized by the advance of information technology and the transition of teaching and learning paradigm based on the constructivism learning theory. In e-learning, however, there are limits owing to the absence of personal encounters between instructers and learners. To overcome this problem, blended learning, a combination of face-to-face learning and e-learning, has been attempted. This paper is to verify whether or not blended learning is worth alternating with face-to-face learning in university. For academic achievement, instructor learner interaction, and class satisfaction, the t-test result shows that blended learning with a horizontal mixed mode is no worse than traditional face-to-face learning.
정보통신기술의 발전에 따른 학습 매체의 디지털화와 구성주의 학습이론에 의한 교수학습 패러다임 변화로 말미암아 인터넷 기반의 e-러닝이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 e-러닝은 교수자와 학습자 사이의 인격적 만남의 부재로 인한 한계점이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 e-러닝과 면대면 수업의 장점을 접목한 블렌디드 러닝이 시도되고 있다. 본 연구는 블렌디드 러닝이 대학 사회의 면대면 수업을 대체할 만한 교수 방법인지 수업 효과 측면에서 검증하고자 한다. 학업성취도, 교수자 학습자 상호작용 정도, 수업만족도에 대한 t-검정을 실시한 결과 수평형 혼합 방식의 블렌디드 러닝이 면대면 수업에 비하여 나쁘지 않는 교수 학습방법이라고 볼 수 있다.
