Abstract

Purpose : To study the recognition of optometrists for product liability law. Methods : We surveyed 117 directors and optometrists working in 50 optician´s shops in Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju metropolitan city, Naju-si, Hampyeong-gun, Mokpo-si, Gangjin-gun, and Haenam-gun in Jeollanam-do. The questionaires obtained were analyzed by using SPSS 17.0, a statistical analysis program. Results : We can see that the recognition for product liability (PL) law is more improved in this study than in the year 2003. Nevertheless, no change in the recognition appeared for 62 percent. It suppose that optometrists do not know or have no concern in the execution of PL law and an awareness change and familiarity of optometrists. There was no case for question to PL law in the year 2003 study but there were thirteen cases in this study. It appeared that eduction for the counterplan of PL law is more needed for directors than for optometrists. Conclusions : It is considered that case study on faulty products against PL law is systematically done and also attitude change and awareness conversion of optometrists are needed for consumers.

목적 : 본 연구에서는 제조물책임법(PL법)에 관한 안경사 인식도를 연구하고자 한다. 방법 : 광주광역시 광산구, 전라남도 나주시, 함평군, 목포시, 강진군, 해남군에 개설한 안경원 50곳에 근무하는 개설 안경사와 종사 안경사 중 설문지를 성실히 응답해주신 117명에 대해서 조사했고, 조사결과는 통계분석 프로그램 SPSS 17.0을 사용하였다. 결과 : 대부분의 개설 안경사 및 종사 안경사의 PL법에 대한 인식도가 2003년 조사보다 향상되었으나, 2009년 조사에서도 62%가 인식전환이 없는 것으로 나타나, PL법의 시행 여부, 안경사 인식전환 및 숙지사항 등에 대해서 모르거나, 관심 없는 것으로 판단된다. PL법에 대한 상담 사례가 있었느냐 물음에 2003년 조사 당시는 없다고 응답했었다. 그러나 2009년 조사 결과 상담사례가 13명 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개설 안경사가 종사 안경사 보다 PL법의 대처방안에 대한 교육 필요도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : PL법에 대비한 제품의 결함 사례 분석 연구가 체계적으로 수행되어야 하고, 안경사들의 소비자에 대한 태도변화 및 인식전환이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.
