Coauthorship Patterns in Korean Public Administrative Review(1989-2008)

Abstract

본 연구는 학술논문의 공동저술 증가현상 속에서 공동저술에 대한 ‘합리적인’ 관점이 아닌 사회적 관점에서 공동저술활동에 내재되어 있는 사회적 관계성을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국행정학분야의 대표적 학술지인 한국행정학보에 1989년 제23권 제1호부터 2008년 42권4호까지 20년간에 걸쳐 게재된 논문으로서 저자가 2인 이상인 공동저술 논문 중 일반 연구논문 294편을 대상으로 분석하였다. 본 연구를 위해 표집된 일반논문 또는 연구논문들을 연구분야, 성별, 소속기관, 지역, 기관유형, 지도관계 등의 변수에 따라 분류하였다. 본연구의 주된 결과는 몇가지로 요약된다. 첫째, 공동저술은 소속을 달리하는 저자들 사이에서 주로 이루어지나, 소속을 달리 하는 경우라도 공저자들의 소재지역이 동일 지역인 경우가 대부분이고 특히 서울지역이 주를 이루고 있다는 점이다. 둘째, 대학교수들 간의 공동 저술이 지배적이다. 셋째, 사제지간에 공동저술이 증가하고 있다는 점이다. 넷째, 전체적으로 저술활동이 남성들에 의해 지배되고 있는 한편으로 여성들 사이에서 공동저술경향이 매우 높게 나타나고 있다는점이다. 이러한 결과를 통해 보면, 성별, 지도관계, 소속기관의 소재지, 소속기관의 유형 등은 공동저술의 ‘유유상종’ 모형을 반영하고 있는 한편, 소속기관 자체는 공동저술의 ‘이종연횡’ 모형을 반영하고 있다.
