Mediating Effects of Psychological Function in the Relations Between Family Function and Internet Addiction of College Students

대학생의 가족기능과 인터넷 중독의 관계에서 심리적 기능의 매개효과

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to test how psychological function mediates the relationship between family function and internet addiction of college students. This research is performed by sampling survey through questionnaires with the college students in Gwang-ju, and the respondents are 292. After setting variables in a structural equation model, the investigator analyzed the measurement and structural model. The results are as follows. The analysis results confirmed the full mediations effects of psychological function in the relations between the students' family function and internet addiction. Psychological function had fully mediated the relation between family function and internet addiction of college students. Those findings imply that the we should take more interest in the internet addiction aspects of individual students and develop programs to help them improve their family and psychological function. At the end implications for interventions were discussed.
