The Mediating Effect of Continuous Learning Behavior in the Relationship Goal Orientation and Innovative Behavior

목표지향성과 혁신행동의 관계에서 지속학습활동의 매개효과

Abstract

The present study was aimed to investigate the mediation of continuous learning activity between goal orientation and innovative behavior with the employees who work for companies in the service industry in Jeju. The results of this study are follows. First, learning goal orientation and performance approach goal orientation were positively related with continuous learning activity and with innovative behavior as well. The mediating effects were found a little differently. Performance approach goal orientation had full mediating effect with continuous learning activity. Learning goal orientation was confirmed partial mediation effect with continuous learning activity. The implications of the current research were 1) mediating effect of continuous learning activity was investigated, 2) continuous learning activity was meaningful to account it for in the innovative behavior, 3) the companies which are required change and innovation are necessary to select and place the employees.

본 연구에서는 제주지역 서비스 업종 종사자를 대상으로 목표지향성과 혁신행동의 관계에서 지속학습활동의 매개효과를 검증한다. 연구결과 학습목표지향성과 수행접근목표지향성은 혁신행동과 정(+)의 관계가 있었으며, 수행회피목표지향성은 유의하지 않았다. 지속학습활동과 혁신행동의 관계는 유의하였으며, 지속학습활동의 매개효과는 학습목표지향성과 부분매개 효과가 수행접근목표지향성과는 완전 매개효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 목표지향성과 혁신행동의 매커니즘을 지속학습활동을 통해 검증하였다는 측면에서 의미가 있으며, 이를 통해 조직구성원들의 혁신행동을 수행하는데 있어 지속학습활동의 중요성을 설명한다. 또한 변화와 혁신을 수행하는 기업에 있어 조직구성원의 선발과 배치에 있어 실무적 시사점을 제시하고 있다.
