Abstract

The main purposes of this study was to investigate a preference appropriate tree density of pine forest as forest healing. The five pictures, which showed different forest type by tree density, were used for data gathering and the results were analyzed with preference criterions. The respondents group organized with the public and professional groups. The results of this study presented that the public groups preferred 80 percent tree density in a pine forest and the professional groups preferred 60 percent tree density in a pine forest. In conclusion, tree density of 60~80 percent is suitable as tree density of 60~80 percent is preferred in a pine forest.

본 연구의 목적은 산을 찾은 방문객을 대상으로 치유의 숲에 적합한 소나무림의 입목밀도 선호도를 알아보기 위해서 이루어졌다. 이 연구는 산림치유에 적합하다고 생각되는 소나무림을 표준지에 대한 매목조사를 실시한 후, 설문조사용 그래픽 작업을 위해 사진을 촬영하였다. 촬영한 사진을 기초로 간벌 후 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, 120%로 입목밀도를 달리하는 설문용 사진자료를 작성하여 일반인 136명, 전문가 83명에게 선호도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 일반인은 소나무림의 입목밀도 80% 정도를 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났고 전문가의 경우 입목밀도 60% 정도를 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로부터 소나무림의 입목밀도가 60%~80%일 때 치유의 숲에 적합하다고 생각되어진다.
