Effects of social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy for young children on emotional intelligence, peer interaction and peer competence

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze its effects on a social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy in order to promote young children's emotional intelligence peer interaction and peer competence. The effects on a social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy was tested by analyzing how the program affected young children's improvement of EIS, PIPPS and ISCS. In conclusion, a social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy was found to be conducted to enhancing young children's young children's improvement of emotional intelligence, peer interaction and peer competence.

본 연구의 목적은 집단놀이치료를 활용한 사회정서적 유능감 프로그램이 유아의 정서지능, 또래상호작용 및 또래유능감에 미치는 효과를 밝히는 것이다. 연구대상은 M시 유치원 만 5세반 각 30명을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 나누고 주 2회씩 총 14회 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 정서지능 검사, 또래상호작용검사와 또래유능감 검사를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 14.0 Program을 이용하여 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)되었다. 연구결과는 집단놀이치료를 활용한 사회정서적 유능감 프로그램 실험집단이 또래협의를 통한 사회정서적 유능감 프로그램 비교집단보다 유아의 정서지능, 또래상호작용 및 또래유능감을 증진시키는 데 효과적이었다.
