하이브리드 미디어 전송을 위한 MMT 기술 표준화 현황과 전망

Abstract

MMT (MPEG Media Transport) 기술은 지난 4년여 기간 동안 ISO MPEG의 표준화 과정을 거치면서 현재 FDIS (Final Draft for International Standard) 수준까지 도달하였고, 2014년 3월 스페인 발렌시아에서 개최될 제 108차 MPEG 회의에서 국가 투표 (national ballot)를 거쳐 IS (International Standard)로 승인될 예정이다. 본 고에서는 MMT 기술의 표준화 현황과 세부 기술 사항에 대해 분석한다. 또한, 하이브리드 미디어 전송을 지원하기 위한 MMT 표준기술의 기술적 사양에 대해 설명한다.
