Implementation of CCTV Security Services Using GPS Precision Improvement

Abstract

Smart care system can provide various security services using smart phones and CCTV cameras. The security services that can report dangerous situation and return home without fear should use the position informations obtained by GPS in smartphone of the user. In these services, the location information is used to track and record the user by using CCTV cameras which may have PTZ(Pan Tilt Zoom) capability. However, the position informations which are provided by GPS may have considerable accuracy errors up to several ten meters. For this reason, it is difficult to track and record the user's location accurately. In this paper, we propose the method to correct position informations with GPS differential value, and the method to improve precision of security services with the corrected information, then we show the CCTV security service which is implemented with this method.

스마트 케어 시스템은 스마트폰과 CCTV 카메라들을 이용하여 다양한 방범 서비스를 제공한다. 위험 상황신고 또는 안심 귀가를 위한 방범 서비스는 사용자가 소지하고 있는 스마트폰에 장착되어 있는 GPS 수신기의 위치정보를 이용할 수 있다. 이 서비스에서 위치 정보는 PTZ(Pan Tilt Zoom) 기능을 제공하는 CCTV 카메라를 이용하여 사용자를 추적하고 촬영하기 위하여 이용된다. 그러나 GPS 등을 이용하여 획득한 위치정보에는 많게는 수십m에 달하는 오차가 있다. 이로 인하여 CCTV 카메라를 이용하여 사용자를 정확하게 추적하고 촬영하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPS 차분 정보를 이용하여 위치정보를 보정하고, 이를 이용하여 방범서비스의 정확도를 높일 수 있는 방법을 제안하고, 이를 구현한 CCTV 보안 서비스를 소개한다.
