The Effect of Evocational Education Program based on Horticultural Activities on the Self-efficacy, Social Adjustment, and Guidance Preparation Action for Married Immigrant Women

원예 진로교육 프로그램이 다문화 이주여성의 자기효용과 문화 적응 및 진로준비 행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

This study performed 17 gardening course education for 4 months with 27 multi-cultural migrated females to see the effects of the program on self-efficiency, cultural adaptation, and career preparation. Before the program, besides collecting basic materials for the research targeting multi-cultural migrated females, a survey measured self-efficiency, cultural adaptation, and career preparation. As results of the comparison between self-efficiency before and after the gardening education program, self-efficiencies of participated multi-cultural migrated females greatly enhanced, and as a lower factor, general self-efficiency also showed big difference before and after the gardening activity. In addition, the gardening course program had positive effects on cultural adaptation but showed no significant difference statistically. Career preparation had effective difference before and after the gardening course education. Positive evaluation of this gardening course education program was continued to self-efficiency, cultural adaptation, and career preparation, and especially the higher self-efficiency, the higher the career preparation. With the result of this study, the gardening course education program targeting multi-cultural females will give positive effects on increasing self-efficiency, cultural adaptation, social entry, and career preparation of migrated females from various cultures in the step where they determine and prepare their career as individual lives.

본 연구는 다문화이주여성의 원예진로교육 프로그램이 자기효용감, 문화적응, 진로준비행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 다문화 이주여성 27명을 대상으로 4개월 간 총 17회의 원예진로교육을 실시하였다. 프로그램 시작 전에 다문화이주여성을 대상으로 연구에 필요한 기초자료 수집과 더불어 자기효용, 문화적응, 진로준비행동 척도를 설문 조사를 통해 측정하였다. 원예진로교육 프로그램의 실시 전과 후의 자기효용의 변화를 비교해 본 결과, 원예진로교육에 참여한 다문화이주여성들의 자기효용감은 월등히 향상되었으며 하위요인으로 일반적 자기효용감에 있어서 원예활동 전후의 큰 차이를 보였다. 또한 원예진로교육 프로그램은 문화적응에 있어서도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 통계적으로는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 진로준비행동은 원예진로교육 전후의 결과에 있어서 효과적인 차이를 나타낸 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 원예진로교육 프로그램에 대한 긍정적 평가는 자기효용, 문화적응, 진로준비행동으로 이어진 것으로 보여지며 특히 자기효용감이 높을수록 진로준비행동이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 다문화이주여성을 대상으로 한 원예진로교육 프로그램은 개인의 삶에 있어 자신의 진로를 결정하고 준비해가는 단계에 있어 자기효용감의 상승과 문화적응, 다문화 이주여성의 사회진출 및 직업준비단계에 있어 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
