Relationship among Perception of Parent's Role, Positive Perception of Parenting and Parental Involvement of Young Children's Father

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to look over conception about parent's perception of role, positive perception of parenting, parental involvement about young children's father. Methods: In order to find the results, We carried out a survey on 435 young children' father in Seoul, Chungcheongnam-do, and Jeollanam-do. The statistical processing was done with using the SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Result: The first result of the study show that perception of parent's role, positive perception of parenting of young children's father were little higher than average but parental involvement of young children's father were a lot lower than average. The second result of the study show that perception of parent's role had no direct effect on parental involvement and taken mediate effect for positive perception of parenting. Conclusion: we have learned that young children's father relatively highly recognized on perception of parent's role, positive perception of parenting but parental involvement of young children' father lowed. For support on parental involvement of young children's father, continuedly and structural parent education were based on perception of parent's role and positive perception.
