Abstract

Recently, the occurrence of condensation of apartment buildings has been growing due to high heat-insulation and high air-tightness performance for energy saving. This study aimed to set up design criteria to prevent condensation by investigating practical living condition of indoor temperature and relative humidity. 120 households in central and southern Korea were included in this study and the research was carried out in winter from January to February. Then the design criteria to prevent condensation was reviewed based on the winter temperature and humidity data. As a result, this study found out that the temperature of indoor air was $24.1^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity was 64.8% in 90 % of living environment and temperature difference ratio(TDR) was increased by 0.02~0.03.
