Design of Algorithm for Guidance of Sitting Posture Correction Using Pressure Sensor and Image Processing Interpolation Technique

압력센서와 영상처리 보간기법을 이용한 앉은 자세의 교정 알고리즘 설계

Abstract

Modern men have lived in a chair more than 12 hours a day. In a sedentary lifestyle for a long time, an improper posture have an critical effect on a body health. In this paper, we propose a software(SW) for guidance of sitting posture correction with two features. First, the proposed SW provides the image related to the distribution of pressure sensors for notifying the current status of sitting posture to users. To improve the image quality, we utilizes the proper combination of bilinear and 3D cubic convolution interpolation method. Second, we analyze the status of current sitting posture using measured values of pressure sensors and divide the current sitting posture into 3 improper sitting posture groups. According to the improper postures, suitable exercises are recommended for posture correction. Implementation results show that the proposed SW is effective for correcting posture of sitting.

현대인들은 하루 평균 12시간 이상 의자에 앉아 생활하고 있다. 이러한 장시간의 좌식 생활에서 부적절한 자세는 전신 건강에 치명적인 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 2개의 특징을 갖는 앉은 자세 교정을 유도하기 위한 소프트웨어(SW)를 제안한다. 첫째로, 제안된 SW는 현재 사용자의 앉은 상태를 정확히 알도록 하기 위해서, 사용자에게 압력센서의 분포 이미지를 제공한다. 제공되는 이미지의 화질 향상을 위해서, 쌍선형 보간법과 3D 큐빅 회선 보간법들을 적절히 조합하여 사용한다. 두 번째는 측정된 센서 값의 분포를 이용하여 현재의 앉은 자세를 분석하고, 현재의 앉은 자세를 3개의 그룹으로 분리한다. 잘못된 자세에 따라, 각 그룹에 맞는 운동을 추천하여, 자세 교정을 할 수 있도록 설계한다. 구현 결과에서, 앉은 자세의 교정을 위한 제안된 SW는 앉은 자세의 교정에 매우 효과적이라는 것을 보여준다.
