Abstract

We established BIPV design process based on the BIM for architects. This research is the 1st year result and we will continue to study for 3 years. The purpose of the research is to provide a framework of a BIPV design tool based on the BIM. The final goal is to promote BIPV industry by developing the BIPV design tool for architects. We have searched the relevant literature and carry out surveys to target architects. And then we have strengthened study results by conducting in-depth interviews with architects who had BIPV design experiences. The BIPV design process includes BIPV design task, necessary information, BIPV degin factor, information modeling based on the BIM and related orgarnization.
