Abstract
This paper analyzes the different perceptions of major stakeholders regarding selection of port logistics services. An extensive survey was conducted in Incheon Port to recognize factors that affect port logistics services from the perspective of two direct stakeholder groups, shippers and port service providers, and an indirect stakeholder group, public agencies, by considering their roles in port operations. According to the results of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), shippers, port service providers, and public agencies consider service level (0.420), cost (0.251), and reliability and awareness (0.371) as the most important factors, clearly indicating their different perceptions. This study analyzes port selection factors recognized and used by stakeholders to differentiate ports. These factors reflect port specific features and can be used for future port development as indications of the basic facilities and infrastructure required in port facilities and logistics. This study contributes to developing competitive port logistics services and future strategies.
