Abstract

The purpose of this study was to verify the relationships among role conflict, role ambiguity, nursing workload, job satisfaction and turnover intention, and especially to identify the factors influencing of turnover intention in comprehensive nursing care unit nurses. A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 159 nurses from 8 general hospital. Data were collected through self-evaluation questionnaires from July to September, 2017. The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Turnover intention was significantly correlated with role conflict (r=.543), role ambiguity (r=.261), nursing workload (r=.185) and job satisfaction (r=-.431). Factors influencing of turnover intention in comprehensive nursing care unit nurses were identified as role conflict (${\beta}=.422$, p<.0001), job satisfaction (${\beta}=-.239$, p=.002), total career (${\beta}=.146$, p=.027), and these factors explained 34.1% of the total variability.
