Abstract
This study was conducted to isolate herbicidal compounds and identify them in the stem and leaf of Aster glehni Fr. Schm.. Methanol extract from the stem and leaf of A. glehni was purified by the ethyl acetate fractionation and a series of chromatographic techniques including silica gel column chromatography, preparative TLC, and HPLC. The final HPLC gave a active fraction and one herbicidal compound was obtained. By GC-MS and NMR analyses, the herbicidal compound was identified as coumarin(2H-1-benzopyran-2-one). Coumarin showed about 34% and 69% of growth inhibition on the shoot and root of barnyardgrass(Echinochloa crus-galli Beauv. var. praticola Ohwi) seedlings at 200㎍ mL-1 as compared with the control, respectively.
섬쑥부쟁이에 함유된 allelochemical의 살초활성을 조사하고, 살초활성물질의 분리를 위해 경엽 추출물에 대하여 ethyl acetate 용매분획 및 silica gel column chromatography, preparative TLC, HPLC와 같은 일련의 크로마토그래피법들을 실시하였다. HPLC에 의해 최종적으로 획득된 살초활성 분획의 GC-MS 및 NMR 분석 결과, 2H-1-benzopyran-2-one인 coumarin이 동정되었다. 200㎍ mL-1 농도에서의 활성분획에 함유된 coumarin의 돌피 신초 및 뿌리에 대한 생장 억제율은 각각 34%, 69%로 확인되었다.
