Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the moderating effect of gratitude disposition as a link between stress and happiness in nursing students. The subjects were 275 nursing students at a university in G-Gun. Data were collected from October 4, 2018 to October 10, 2018 and analyzed by using hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, the final model (Model 3) in regression explained 26.2% of variance in happiness. Stress was an important factor influencing happiness. Stress ${\times}$ gratitude disposition interaction was significant for happiness after adjusting control variables. Gratitude disposition moderated the association between stress and happiness in nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an intervention program to reduce the stress and increase the gratitude disposition to enhance the happiness of nursing students.
